Read the full storyNorwich has a tight boundary. The city council’s area stops well short of where the city actually stops, so streets that are Norwich in every practical sense sit in the districts next door and get their bins collected by somebody else. That is one of the reasons this site exists, and it is about to change: from April 2028 a new Greater Norwich authority is due to take in the city along with a set of parishes from Broadland and South Norfolk.
Until then, and after it, our job is the same. Read what the council publishes, the planning register, the licensing notices, the committee papers and the budgets, and write down what is in them plainly, with a link to the source on every fact.
