Amy Morris, Miss Norfolk 2026, hosts a Bonfire Night charity party at Bond on Tombland, 6.30pm on 5 November, with a DJ, a red carpet and £10 tickets.

Amy Morris, Miss Norfolk 2026, is throwing a Bonfire Night party in Norwich to raise money for Beauty with a Purpose, the charitable initiative linked to Miss World, and she wants the county’s independent businesses in the room with her.

Light Up the Night: Bonfire Night Party With a Purpose runs from 6.30pm to midnight on Thursday 5 November at Bond, the independent Norfolk business at 28 Tombland, which is hosting the evening. There will be music, a DJ, dancing and a red carpet where guests are invited to strut their stuff in front of the camera. Tickets are on Eventbrite, listed at £10.19 to £11.55 when we checked on 30 October.

The party comes 12 days before Amy represents Norfolk at the Miss England final at the Athena in Leicester on 17 November.

“More than wear a crown and a pretty dress”

Amy says she wanted the title to be about the county’s people as much as its scenery.

“When I won Miss Norfolk, I knew I wanted to do more than wear a crown and a pretty dress, although I do rather enjoy both!” she said.

“I wanted to use this opportunity to show people just how beautiful Norfolk really is. And I don’t just mean our beaches, countryside and lovely little villages. I mean the PEOPLE! The independent businesses, the creative individuals and the people who work incredibly hard to make our county what it is.”

Businesses wanted for the raffle

One of her biggest aims for the night is to involve as many independent Norfolk businesses as she can: shops, creative firms, beauty, hospitality and local makers. She is asking them to get involved through raffle prizes, vouchers, sponsorship and other contributions, and to use the evening to show off what they do.

“I’d love people to discover a business they never knew existed, meet someone new or simply leave the evening feeling proud to be part of this county,” Amy said. “If we can raise money for charity while giving our local businesses some well-deserved attention, that’s a win-win in my eyes!”

A red carpet for everyone

Amy has built the night around guests having fun rather than sitting through a formal charity dinner, and a videographer is planned to film it.

“I love the idea that everyone gets to feel like a queen for the evening. You don’t need to be in a beauty pageant to feel like one!” she said.

“I want people to come along, perhaps not knowing anyone, and leave with new friends, wonderful memories and a great big smile on their faces. And if I can get a room full of people walking down a red carpet feeling fabulous, I’ll be absolutely delighted!”

Why Beauty with a Purpose

The fundraiser is part of Amy’s Miss England run, which has already taken her through challenges on fitness, sustainability, natural beauty and community involvement. Beauty with a Purpose, her release says, supports projects that improve lives and help communities in need.

“I think there’s something really lovely about the idea that beauty isn’t just about how somebody looks. It’s about what they do, how they treat people and the difference they can make,” Amy said.

“Being Miss Norfolk has given me a platform I never expected to have, and I want to make the absolute most of it. If I can bring people together, support local businesses and raise money for a wonderful cause, then that means far more to me than any crown ever could.”

Away from pageants, Amy is a professional singer, vocal coach and business owner who also works hands-on in the motorhome industry.

“Norfolk has so much to offer, and sometimes I don’t think we shout about it enough!” she said. “We’ve got some incredibly talented people and brilliant little businesses right on our doorstep.

“I’d absolutely love to take a little piece of Norfolk with me to the Miss England Finals and show everyone what a wonderful county we are. And if we can do some good, have a dance and feel ridiculously fabulous along the way, even better!”
