Norwich Ghost Walks' Halloween shows run at Cow Tower 23 to 31 October, £18. Plus two horror nights at the Arts Centre and the weekly ghost walk routes.

Halloween falls on Saturday 31 October 2026, and the biggest thing in Norwich for it is Norwich Ghost Walks’ run of Halloween shows in the park around Cow Tower, every night from Friday 23 to Saturday 31 October except Sunday 25. Tickets are £18 and must be booked in advance, according to Norwich Ghost Walks. The city council lists the run on its own events planner.

The quick answer

  • Halloween ghost walks: Cow Tower park, 23 to 31 October (not Sunday 25), 7.30pm to 9.30pm, £18, booked in advance. Jump scares; no dogs.
  • Halloween night itself: Bloghaus of Horrors at Norwich Arts Centre, 8pm, £16. The night before, SLASHER? I barely know her!, 8pm, £17.50.
  • Year-round: weekly ghost walks on Tuesdays (Elm Hill) and Thursdays (the river), 7.30pm, from the Adam and Eve pub.

The Halloween shows at Cow Tower

Norwich Ghost Walks describe the Halloween run as an evening of storytelling with “our troop of spooky performers” and a guild of costumed characters. The audience is guided along the park paths beside the river to Cow Tower and beyond, stopping at story points along the way.

What the organiser states:

  • When: every night from 23 to 31 October except Sunday 25 October, 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
  • Price: £18.
  • Booking: limited numbers, pre-booked only, through the ticket site Universe, linked from the Norwich Ghost Walks home page.
  • Scares: the Halloween shows include jump scares. The weekly walks no longer do.
  • Dogs: not allowed at the Halloween shows, because of the jump scares.
  • Access: the Cow Tower route is accessible for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
  • Age: the organiser generally recommends its walks for ages 10 and over, but leaves the call to parents.

All of that comes from the organiser’s events page and FAQ. The walks go ahead whatever the weather, so dress for a riverside path at night in late October.

The weekly ghost walks

The Halloween run sits on top of a regular programme that runs from April to December (Norwich Ghost Walks):

Walk Day Route
Elm Hill Walk Tuesdays, 7.30pm The cobbled streets around Elm Hill, the oldest part of the city
River Walk Thursdays, 7.30pm Along Quayside and the lanes beside the river

Both start and finish outside the Adam and Eve pub, 17 Bishopgate, NR3 1RZ, by St Helen’s Wharf pay and display car park, where the organiser says an evening rate applies after 6.30pm. Walks last about two hours. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome on the weekly walks. A third route, the Norwich Castle walk, runs only in summer.
