Norwich’s Christmas market is the Christkindl Market in Chapelfield Gardens, from Friday 11 to Sunday 20 December 2026, open 10am to 9pm every day. It is free for everyone on weekdays before 3pm, and children are free at all times. The Forum has two shorter Christmas fairs earlier in the season.

Christkindl Market, Chapelfield Gardens

The market is run by Fine City Events Ltd and modelled on German and Austrian Christmas markets, with wooden chalets, food and drink, and live entertainment (Christkindl Market Norwich).

  • Hours: 10am to 9pm every day.
  • Entry: free Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm. £2 per adult on weekdays from 3pm to 9pm and all day on Saturday and Sunday. Children go free all day, every day. The organisers say the peak-time charge is there to keep the site comfortable and manage crowds.
  • Size: 80 chalets across the gardens, a food court around the bandstand with daily entertainment, and a bar marquee run with Wildcraft Brewery (Christkindl Market, event information).
  • Map: the organisers say a market map will be published in November 2026, once traders are confirmed.

Norwich City Council lists the market on its own events planner, describing more than 80 stalls and activities for all ages (Norwich City Council).

There are bus stops close by and the city centre is a few minutes’ walk away. The organisers warn that the nearby car parks can fill at peak times. Council car park prices are on our parking in Norwich page, and road closures on Norwich roadworks.

Security is by EVA Event Solutions, with SIA-trained staff, CCTV and medics on site during trading hours, according to the organisers.

Christmas fairs at The Forum

Festive Fair, Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 November. East Anglian stalls selling crafts, food, cards and decorations, with festive music from Norfolk bands outside. Hours are 11am to 7pm on the Thursday, 10am to 6pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday (The Forum).

Norwich Global Village Christmas Market, Thursday 3 to Saturday 5 December. Gifts and handmade goods from makers and traders from around the world, with global street food, 10am to 5pm each day (The Forum).
