Ryanair will fly Norwich to Malaga twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays, from summer 2027. It is the airline's fourth route from the city and is on sale now.
Ryanair is adding a Norwich to Malaga route for summer 2027. Flights will run twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, and are already on sale.
Norwich Airport announced the route on 9 October. Malaga is one of the first 29 new routes in Ryanair’s summer 2027 schedule, which the airline launched the same day.
“We’re delighted that Ryanair is adding Malaga to its growing network from Norwich Airport,” said Richard Pace, the airport’s managing director.
Ryanair from Norwich in 2027
Ryanair started flying from Norwich in 2024. With Malaga it will serve four destinations from the airport, according to the airport’s announcement:
| Destination | When it flies |
|---|---|
| Alicante, Spain | All year |
| Malta | All year |
| Faro, Portugal | Summer |
| Malaga, Spain | Summer 2027, Mondays and Thursdays |
Neither the airport nor Ryanair has yet given the date of the first Malaga flight or a fare. Ryanair says more summer 2027 routes are still to be announced.
A busier airport
The new route follows a year of growth at the airport, which is about three miles north of the city centre. In its annual figures in April, the airport said:
- it handled 453,000 passengers in the year to 31 March 2026, up 5%
- Ryanair passengers were up 17,000 on the year before
- it flies direct to 16 destinations in nine countries, with onward connections through Amsterdam on KLM
In September it came fourth in the UK in the Which? airport survey, with a customer score of 78% and five stars for security queues and cleanliness.
What it means for you
- Booking: flights are on sale at ryanair.com. No first flight date has been announced, so check which dates the booking page offers.
- Days: with flights only on Mondays and Thursdays, a trip can be three, four or seven nights, or longer in the same pattern.
- Getting there: parking and drop-off charges are on the airport’s website. Please do not leave a car on the residential streets nearby: holidaymakers’ parking in Hellesdon is a long-running complaint, as our Norwich Airport parking story explains.
